Getting You Started
Whether we're teaching you to set-up your business bookkeeping system or we're maintaining it for you, you will need to bring the following information.
- Bank statements and returned cheques
- Sales invoices, paid and outstanding
- Bills / and receipts for gas etc. (if paid, don't forget to write the cheque number and date-of-payment on the receipt)
- Receipts for expenses (indicate the item on the receipts if it is not clearly identified)
- Credit card statements - the ideal situation is to have separate credit cards one for the business and one for personal use. If this is not the case indicate which expense goes into which category
- If your office is in your home bring all utility expenses, i.e. hydro bills, water bills etc.
